So you’ve booked your very first Aerial Arts Academy (AAA) class – woohoo! Whether you’re feeling excited, nervous, or a little bit of both, we’re here to make sure you know exactly what to expect and how to make the most of your experience.

Before You Arrive

What to Wear: Your outfit depends on your class type! For aerial hoop or silks, wear comfy, form-fitting leggings and a fitted top to protect your skin. For pole classes, shorts are best so you can grip the pole safely. If you’re joining a Slinky class, bring your favourite heels! Always avoid jewellery or anything loose and bring grip aids or knee pads if you have them.

What to Bring: Just yourself, a water bottle, and your positive energy! We provide all equipment and safety mats.

Arriving: Try to arrive 10 minutes early so you feel ready to go when your class starts.

Your First Class Experience

Warm Welcome: Our instructors and community are super friendly – no need to feel intimidated!

Class Structure: You’ll start with a gentle warm-up, followed by an introduction to basic moves on pole, hoop, or silks (depending on your class).

Supportive Vibes: Everyone was a beginner once! You’ll be encouraged to go at your own pace and celebrate every win, big or small.

Safety First: We always cover safety basics and proper technique, so you can focus on having fun and feeling confident.

After Class

Cool Down: We end with a cool-down and gentle stretches to keep you feeling great.

Ask Away: Instructors are happy to answer questions about progression, memberships, or anything else on your mind.

Community: Don’t be shy – chat with fellow students, take a fun photo, and soak up the AAA community spirit! And don’t forget to join us on the Aerial Education Hub to speak to your new friends and teachers (and review what you have learned!)
